Ducks!!!

Recently, the water feature outside of the Mathematics Institute has been taken over by ducks.

These are the better bred ranks of the duck populace from the lakes down by Rootes. Word had finally reached them of the rather-more-attractive new aquatic feature on campus, and so the higher levels of Duck society moved upmarket and set up home here.

They are rather ostentatious folk, who waddle about with their beaks turned up in the air. If you throw one of them a piece of bread, she looks down at it for a few seconds and then she gives you an icy stare, as if to say -

"Who the fuck do you think you are?"

-and then she turns around and waddles back over to the water.
